For by One Spirit are we all baptized into one body.." 1Cor. 12:13. It is the Spirit, in the dispensation of Grace, that baptizes us into Christ; not baptism by water. The Holy Spirit placesw us into Christ the very moment we trust in the finished work of Christ. "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Gal. 3:26,27. It is this baptism by the Holy Spirit that place us into the body of Christ and makes us saints. Not water. Why would water make us a saint? Are you saying you cannot be "in the faith" unless you have been baptized by water? That in this dispensation, where there is ONE BAPTISM, it is water baptism that places you "in the faith", makes you a saint, and sanctifies you in Christ?
It seems to me that you have not separated the physical with the spiritual in this instance. Of course its the Spirit who baptizes us into Christ. The physical baptism by water is only a physical expression of that just as taking the communion is a physical expression of a remembrance of Christs body and blood. The bread and the wine are not Christs physical body nor is the water the physical Holy Spirit or blood. Its done physically as an expression of a Spiritual action. Both were mandated by Christ as a physical symbolism of what is spiritually taking place.

ONE BABTISM symbolized or expressed physically by water baptism.
