but do you understand when you are deceiving yourself. That is not at all clear
Any man who follows "wise" men in this world and believe these "wise" men have the answers, and yet those answers cannot be found in GOd's word, are deceiving themselves. THese men who sit around and decide what God really meant to say, or that God "implied" are believed to be the wisest men in the world. It is foolishness with God. His word is the wisdom of this world. Not man's feeble and fallible attempt to represent God's thoughts, not by His word, but by their doctrines and traditions. They are deceivers and those who put their faith and trust in those fallible men are deceiving themselves that those who pervert the word of God are actually giving the word of God.
Want to make certain you are not deceived? "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Tim 2:15.
