The left is desperately seeking a means of driving a wedge between Catholics and Protestants. I grew up Methodist in a family mixed with Baptists and Catholics.
I guess those differences never really meant anything to me.
“The left is desperately seeking a means of driving a wedge between Catholics and Protestants.”
The whole point of the navel gazing article.
Unfortunately this is not the left...this is a (conservative?) Catholic deacon I think. Proving once again we are our own worst enemies.
Tell me Deacon Fournier or anyone else, what the heck will Michele Bachmann do as President that will have ANYTHING to do with what her position is on the nature of the Antichrist?
Anyone? Anyone?
EXACTLY my feelings! We all (allegedly) believe in the God of Jacob and His Son. Of the differences, they are entirely earthly. When we die, God will sort us out. Using Him as a political tool is the height of sacrilege.
Your post made me smile and it reminded me of the way my father raised us. I don’t ever remember him saying one derogatory statement against Protestants, and he taught us to love our neighbor regardless of their denomination. This has always stuck with me and I love my protestant brethern, in fact my closest and dearest friend is a non-denominatinal christian and we don’t regard each other as a protestant or catholic, we’re just “sisters in Christ”. :)
