- The word ‘long’ is where? -
1st Cor 11:14-15 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her[a] for a covering.

I guess the next question is what is “long”?
There is a reason a reference is made to shaved heads. Pagans and prostitutes shaved their heads.
The idea was that the new Christian women would be different just by sight by not having a shaved head. You could say that hair not be shaved, be considered long hair. Unfortunately, I have met many women that are so concerned about the length of their hair they are losing themselves to their hair and not the reason for the covering.

Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? St. Paul obviously never went to an All-Nations Powwow. Nature tells me that some men with long hair are pretty darn masculine. (Others look like dopes, of course.) Arguments from "natural" feelings rather fall apart when somebody else naturally feels differently.
I'm sure he never had a baby throw up in his hair, either.
