I don’t seem to remember the bible saying there wasn’t life elsewhere. God may have many children throughout the universe.

So, we either die off or we plan on taking to the stars......
Guess they’ve never read CSLewis’ book Out of the Silent Planet...
Recently I drove by a church near my home, and the church had a sign: "God loves you as if you were the only one there is." What would happen if we discovered we aren't all there is? Would the discovery of extraterrestrial life threaten Christian notions of significance? Those of us who read English see that the words "as if you were" indicate that the writer of the message does not believe what ever comes after those words. So when the interviewer goes on to say, What would happen if we discovered we aren't all there is? the thing he is quoting has already addressed that. So either the quote is irrelevant or he doesn't understand it.
Where are they? —Enrico Fermi
Lost me right there......
As far as the headline, nothing can negate the finished work on the cross for the redemption of mankind.
This kind of mental/philosophical exercise is precisely the sort of nonsense Satan would have people waste their time debating rather than actively going out and reaching the world for Christ by feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, visiting the captives in jail,... You know, stuff that would actually result in the real salvation of souls instead of making a bunch of pseudo-intellectual faux philosophers feel good about themselves.
I wish folks would stop challenging the beliefs of others.
My thoughts about how to live my life, and be able to meet “my maker” would not change if we found life elsewhere.
I don’t really care about what some “expert” thinks. My God gave me a brain. And it works just fine.
>> We have literally hundreds of billions of galaxies
There’s always the chance we could be seeing the same galaxy more than once from a different time in a different place. But that’s just academic nonsense...
Christianity does not come unraveled. If there are aliens, it signifies God’s creation. The Bible is not a detailed history or scientific book to note down every possibility. Also, we do not believe that if anything is not written in the Bible it is false.
