Like most LDS, you don’t get it isnt’ about a ‘sect’ or a ‘church’, it is about CHRIST. Most of us here belong to a wide variety of churches, but we all agree on the basics - the person, nature and work of Jesus Christ (including the Trinity). Things the LDS do not agree on which is why they are not Christian.
The true Church of Christ isn’t a denomination, it is the universal body of all believes who are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. But the LDS never get that. Don’t worry, I didn’t get it either when I was LDS. Stick around and you may learn something.
