The Twilight saga is actually about the Mormon belief in eternal marriage.
The Twilight series, by Mormon author Stephanie Meyers, is an allegory for the Mormon concept of "celestial marriage" - the belief that a couple that is "sealed" in a Mormon temple will stay bound together forever...
Edward and Bella's bond is sealed when Edward bites Bella. As with a Mormon marriage, there's no turning back for Bella, who is transformed into a vampire for eternity.

It's not. If you click on #12 of the links, Huntsman's name comes up.
Can you tell me...why they aren't taking those BILLIONS and doing good works?
The arguments against Mormonism by true Christians go far beyond Tithing.
Starting with what you point out, the misuse of the Name of Jesus Christ. The “true name” of the church is its most offense part. Hence the use of the more appropriate term “Mormon”. Christ has nothing to do with Mormonism, to them it is just a marketing lable.
Can't see why that is an issue, until the PR campaign “we are Christians too” started 20 years ago, the Mormon wanted to be known as anything BUT Christian.
What? You mean you didn't donate it to GoodWill?
Man! It’s even way worse than that!!!
I am a Mormon, a full tithe paying Mormon and I had no idea how bad it is! Thanks for enlightening me on how bad my religion is!!! I would have never known!
I can defend everything the Son of God said.....
What does that tell you?
It should be an epiphany for you.
May your eyes be opened....
So, just ignore them.
As long as there are 52,000 mormon missionaries out there every day knocking on the doors of Christians and lying about the Gospel being removed from the earth and salvation only being thru mormonism, there will be threads on FR to rebut the millions of lies being spread through TV, radio and the internet about Joseph Smith's scam.
As for the rather common claim that there people are not payed..
do not set your self up to high.. My father was a Deacon in the Church of Christ (not lds) was not paid. He even fulfilled the Biblical requirements of the title unlike 12 year old boys of the lds.
See 1 Timothy 3:813 if you are confused by last statement.
Perhaps you didn’t read the parable of the talents?
We do spend billions on relief efforts. We also don’t bast our trumpets letting everyone know we are doing it. Locals will tell you in Haiti, in south America, in Japan...anywhere there is a disaster, our church is one of the first responders.

Original!!
I’d like to know how much the Mormon church gives to the likes of Harry Reid?
Colofornian and his minions will hunt you down. :-)
Dude, lying about bishops is going to make you look even more ridiculous than you already do with your big ten foot axe to grind. I have had complete and detailed access to finances of many wards, both currently and during the 80s and 90s, and bishops don’t get paid squat. As to “expenses”, all the ones I’ve seen (and that’s quite a few) end up not taking the few hundred dollars a year they might be entitled to for buying food for socials and such.
If you insist on spending all that effort to be anti, you’ll be more effective staying in the religious opinion area.
And yet you posted to the thread almost from the get go...
Why do you guys do that, make some comment defending the church and trying to deride those exposing it then we called out on it retreat into “I’m not biting” when you are the one who bit first and disclaim responsibility for certain things in a church you support with your beliefs time and money.
All very interesting...
All you feeding is the fact there is much wrong and much to run from in the Mormon organization...
Ill take Mormons over Muslims anyday.
False Choice.
If we want to trash RINOROMNEY...
Has someone proven that this is the intent of this thread? Is there a mind-reader here at FR or one who can absolutely prove motive?
If we’re talking religion, it is indeed a false choice.
If we’re talking politics it isn’t, and as such, it involves RINOmney.
That’s my premise and I’m stickin’ to it.
The original 1978 "Battlestar Galactica" was full of Mormon symbolism and references, too. Marriages were "sealing." The star system where humanity began was "Kobol" (Kolob is a star or planet mentioned in the Book of Mormon.) Viper pilots wore flight helmets that resembled Egyptian headgear. There are 12 colonies (tribes) of man and Galactica searches for the lost 13th tribe that set out millennia earlier for a mythical planet called Earth.
