An interesting note about solar and lunar eclipses:

Because of the angularity (combination of size and distance) between the earth and the sun / moon, the size of each, as viewed from the earth, is nearly identical. Therefore, we have dramatic, total eclipses of the sun and moon - completely covered. but not overwhelmed.

There is no other known system in the universe (approximately 10²⁴ solar systems) that even comes close to that angularity.
