It's been 1500 years since there has been a rabbinically approved sacrifice to take place in Israel and the rabbis did approve a Gentile who trained under the leadership of selected rabbis to perform the sacrifice of two turtledoves recently in Israel. The ceremony took place in the Jordan Valley near Jericho as a number of rabbis watched to make certain all Levitical laws were kept in the offering of these two doves.
There are a number of religious Jews that have been preparing for the building of the temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem who believe that Jews need to become accustomed once again to the offering of animals for the sacrifices called for when the temple is once again standing in Jerusalem.
A rabbinically approved sacrifice being performed in Israel is tangible evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled. Since the destruction of the Jewish temple in 70AD there has not been an opportunity for Jews to offer any of the required sacrifices called for under Levitical law.
Over the last 2000 years there have been several occasions in different parts of the world where rabbis would approve the offering of animals in sacrifice but nothing compared to the days when the temple was standing in Jerusalem.
Recently a Gentile, one trained by a number of rabbis, performed a sacrifice of two turtledoves in the Jordan Valley near the Dead Sea, the first rabbinically approved sacrifice in 1500 years.
This is a part of a program to prepare the Jewish people for the restoration of the sacrificial system that is called for in the first 7 chapters in the book of Leviticus. Daniel 9:27 reveals that the sacrificial system will be restored when there is a temple in Jerusalem. Even the Messiah's temple described in Ezekiel 40-46 calls for sacrifices to be restored as a part of daily Jewish life.
There will be two temples in the future for the Jewish people, one in the Tribulation period and then another in the time of the Millennial Kingdom of the future. In both of these temples, sacrifices will be made. In fact for the next temple all preparations have been made and its ready to be built in Jerusalem even right now.
A sacrifice made in Israel recently is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.
Or is it . . . tied behind their backs . . .
Some folks’ brains seem to already be tied in knots.
I’m very inclined to believe you, agree with such a perspective.
1. God seems to have a hobby of doing things that way.
2. It is Biblically congruent, consistent.
3. It has a fitting comfortable warm feeling in my spirit.
THX THX.
THANKS for another wonderful essay to post on my Wordpress blog.
I realize that and even agree, but what I was pointing out was the fact that even on a topic as "Catholic" as the idea of Transubstantiation, which depends upon the literal reading of the text involved, you display a tendency to switch back and forth from a literal understanding of the passage to an allegorical understanding of the passage.
My whole point in showing this was to illustrate the fact that while those of us who hold the view that the Biblical record can be divided up into different Dispensations, we come to that conclusion by letting Scripture interpret itself, which is the same manner which Catholics claim they come to their conclusions about Transubstantiation. We don't rely on the traditions of man, despite what some might say, otherwise I and other Fundamentalists wouldn't have come to that conclusion in the first place, and frankly what bronx2 was trying to do by attacking the Scriptural support for the Dispensations and ignoring the evidence that is presented to him is as intellectually dishonest as anything I've ever seen on this board. In a word, he was acting like a Troll.
Like it or not, when you stated that you enjoyed the posts by bronx2, you supported his trolling behavior and I decided to give you and him some of your own medicine.
Now if you want to have a real conversation, I'm all for it, but I can't say the same for bronx2. His posting history has shown just how troll-like his behavior can be and frankly I have no use for someone like that.
The ball is in your court now.
Nothing of substance. Not a thing. Typical.
Now we must revisit this dispensation nonsense. Your sources provide nothing to substantiate this fantasy nor do they further the cause of this dispensation fantasy henceforth to be labeled The Abomination. It is an indictment of this inane theology to resort to such eschatological illusions merely to attract attention.
Well attract attention it did with Camping and his predecessors who were equally adept in making a laughingstock of Christianity.
Try as you desperately will, your theology cannot and will not be separated from Camping. Those who espouse The Abomination must share the shame being heaped on him.
It would bode well for you and your ilk to accept the literal words of Jesus "In Toto" not cafeteria style.
I understand that Quix, hence my encouragement for "One Lord" to research for themselves. In my mind, it all goes back to being a Berean and accepting things with an open mind, but checking to see if they are true all the same.
Great description of your dodges of facts and truth.
I agree with you on that score.
I just thought it idiotically insufferable that such an unwarranted allegation from such a farce of an old post could be lobbed against the Deyo’s. Holly is as sweet, dililgent, honorable Christian wife, mother, woman as anyone could meet. And Stan is similar in character.
Let me help you out here, since you seem to be stuck.
NO WHERE DID I REFUTE JOHN 6:51-57!
Maybe that will sink into that thick troll head of yours now.
Besides, I can play your game too. I've shown you the support for the seven Dispensational ages, including Scriptural support for those ages, yet you refuse to admit that they exist, even when they're right in front of your face.
Your intellectual dishonesty isn't my problem. So before you begin preaching to me about a subject, especially one which requires solid Scriptural support, you need to attend to that telephone pole that's sticking out of your own eye first.
Until that time, you're just another annoying troll.
Dispensation is wedded to Camping.
I think folks fail to realize that
a whole new . . .
context is just around the corner . . .
when lying to God and sometimes to or about God’s faithful servants, will bring a LOT more Ananias and Sapphira results—BOOM—right in the middle of church or wherever.
THERE IS LOOMING
A NEW REALITY
OF THE REVERENTIAL AWE AND UTTER FEAR OF GOD ALMIGHTY
like has never pervaded this earth so thoroughly nor so INTENSELY nor with such routinely miraculous signs following.
We all know which group you fall into, because you've been told, repeatedly, that Camping was not a Dispensationalist yet you persist on repeating the lie that he was.
BTW, how many Hail Mary's are those lies going to require for you to buy your way back into God's graces?
You CLAIM to have offered verification of scripture to support this Abomination, read dispenstion, but on closer analysis you merely provided cites taken out of context to support a nonsensical position.
I am not playing any games and neither will Jesus when the judgment of souls occurs.
On an earlier post on this thread you threatened to "Rub My Nose in It". How Jesus like.
You need to read MT 18 22.
INDEED.
May God bless you with an ever increasing understanding of Him and HIS TRUTHs.
I never stated that John 6:51-57 was wrong. You made the assumption that I did, not me. Furthermore, if you will examine my discussion with Titanites above, you'll notice that not only do I not disagree with John 6, but I pointed out that I accept all of John 6, including verse 58.
So, now that we have that out of the way, let's get down to the next part.
You wrote:

Now, you will notice that I offered Scriptural support for my position and yet all you offered is your opinion that I'm wrong. No where did you offer scriptural support showing that my position was incorrect.
Furthermore, I as well as others have shown proof that portions of the Dispensation Theory were being taught as far back as the 4th Century and possibly as late as the 9th Century, yet because they conflict with the preconceived notions that you have about this doctrine, you reject them. Again, without proof, just on your opinion that they're not relevant.
So where does that leave us? I've offered a Scripture-based defense of the Dispensation Theory, along with quotes showing that it is not a new idea, yet you reject them because they clash with your own opinion of how Scripture is to be interpreted.
So, who's following the doctrines of men? Let me help you here, it's not me.
