The point of my post to you is that if using a medical term, the term for the membrane that indicates virginity, is offensive then so is this article since the article is referring to the same thing. I have been a member here for years and I had no idea that religion threads were so juvenile. I can't use an anatomically correct term because someone else might use a non-anatomically correct term (this is the admin mod’s reasoning, see his/her post to me) and then someone might be offended? Is not one of the many conservative concepts responsibility? If one cannot resist responding to my post without using profane language then that person should be censored not me. The entire article is about that body part. Shall we continue to descend into juvenile language and call it a “doo-hicky”? Would that make everyone more comfortable? Even the admin mod uses the term “potty” language! Let's try profane language instead. Finally, if this thread was discussing the virginity of any other 13 or 14 year old girl it would be pulled. The discussion of Mary's virginity, perpetual or not, will not get one a faster elevator ride to or priority seating in Heaven. The only girl's virginity that is any of my business is my own daughter's. We can bicker and argue all day long about Mary's, but the fact of the matter is that it was a personal matter between her, God, and Joseph, not a bunch of people combing the Bible trying to figure out if her “doo-hicky” remained in tact after she delivered Jesus.

I’m not the one that got your post pulled so need to argue with me...I’m just pointing out this topic is not off limits.

For the record, I thought your post appropriate. It brought the debate down to a pragmatic level by laying out just what virginity is...some consider it a holy state, others such as yourself purely a physical state.

I wonder what other word the mod would have preferred you use other than the scientific one? There are other, less scientific ones, but that would be the crass way to go.
