It is believed that the Apostle John (who could have been the Gospel writer) lived until approximately 100 AD

Exactly...which is why 100 AD is the general cutoff date.

It's not a cutoff date. It is a general guideline.

Peter is believed to have been written approximately at 150AD

Really? Believed by everyone? I don't think so.

Not everyone. For instance, there are those who believe in a flat earth, in fascism, and in female priests.

Cut off date, guideline...hmmm...I think we're getting into the "splitting hairs" area.

For instance, there are those who believe in a flat earth, in fascism, and in female priests.

Although I think there are very few people who believe in a flat earth these days, these are actually more the types who would tend to think 2 Peter might be a pseudo. There are plenty of orthodox christians who believe 2 Peter to be inspired Canon nothwithstanding your all-inclusive statement that "2 Peter is believed" to carry a date of 150 AD.

According to my Bible, 1Peter and 2Peter were written from Babylon around 60 A.D. and 61-65 A.D. respectively.

Why the huge disparity?
