That’s not one of his flaws.
He’s not accepted a single penney from his ministry.
He’s a total volunteer.
He retired from being a Civil Engineer, IIRC.

Reuters reported that the curtains were drawn in Camping’s house in Alameda, California on May 21, and nobody was answering the door.
