I don't know if I will see my dear old doggie in heaven. I just had her put to sleep on Monday. She had been in pain for a while. We waited on putting her down until her real master, our son, graduated from Marine boot camp. He couldn't bear to see her in pain either, and asked us to do the deed so she wouldn't suffer anymore. She was a Belgian Malinois. She had come to us 11 years ago, after flunking out of U. S. Customs drug dog school. She was the smartest dog I ever met, and was so grateful to us for giving her a real home. RIP Mandy! Here she was with out son after he graduated from Boot Camp. He got to say his good-byes then.
