Actually, Mr. Darby was Anglo/Irish and his sect was begun primarily in Ireland.
You are correct. However, the Plymouth Brethren sect, of which Darby was a leader, had taken hold in the U.S., and Darby made numerous missionary trips to America during which he propagated his rapture ideas.
