I don't think God has drinking buddies. In fact, I think your statement is just the sort of dumbing down of God that too many Americans engage in anywise. What a stupid and flippant statement about God on your part.

One thing I can tell, biblically speaking, is that if a SEAL doesn't get saved, he goes to eternal judgment just like everyone else. Meanwhile, God has said in His Word that He will honour faithful pastors for their service.

So I can take your word for it, or God's Word for it. Not a difficult choice.

Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

Who wouldn't lift a glass with Jesus, God incarnate?
