The old 070 still ran, but when a good deal on the 880 came by, I got it.
If I could figure how to post pictures, I post the 070 cutting a Caribbean Walnut (Lysiloma bahamense) crotch section in the Everglades.
With a 52” Granburg mill, I still had to build a leveled form to cut down one side and across the base, then up to the end of the other side of the tree. Think a ‘Y’ with 30 inch uppers and a 60 inch crotch section.
Lysiloma is harder than oak, but the saw and the carbide flame coated chain went right on through.
I tell myuself I got both to harvest fruit trees - you know, the ones with the fruits and nuts still in the tree.
