“You’re not even close.”
Pardon me for butting in here, but Christ being raised on the seventh day of the week instead of the first day of the wee, is used by Sabbatarians to bolster their case against having church on Sunday. Which they say makes us who have church on the first day of the week pagans, because the pagans worshiped the sun on that day. The SDA people say also that it is the mark of the beast to have church on the first day of the week.
For those that push the Wednesday starting date what they are really doing is pushing Sabbatarianism.
We know the year so by the calender we can know the day of the week that was the Passover . If we follow the scripture it is easy to figure out what day of the week it was .
The Biblical day starts at sundown not at midnight like we keep time now.
I never heard of Sabbitarianism, but if they taught that Christ was crucified on Preparation day, the 13th, and at sundown, the Passover was started, then they were correct
The Bible does not support an 25 hour or 36 hour period in the tomb, nor does it hint that any portion of a day is a day
Changing the obvious meaning of the text to fit a doctrine is heresey. Either way, There are plenty of proofs I mentioned that help prove the 3 days starting on Wednesday and ending Saturday at 6 PM
instead of repeating talking points, address what is actually in the essay and use the Bible to refute it
