PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The Provo City Fire Department has released the full report on the December Provo Tabernacle fire.
The 135-page report outlines events leading up to the fire from December 17th that destroyed the historic landmark in Provo.
Trax Lighting and AV arrived at the Tabernacle a few days before the fire to setup lighting for a concert that was to be taped by BYU Broadcasting.
During the setup of a lighting truss, a technician said he set aside two lamps that were part of the in-house lighting system.
Fire officials believe these lights were placed too close to a speaker which started the fire two days later.
The report notes a number of circumstances and human errors that contributed to the unintentionally set fire.
Provo fire says the fire alarm in the building was inadequate and failed an inspection on December 2nd, two weeks before the fire.
The fire alarm system was only monitored in the building, meaning an alarm wouldn't automatically trigger a response from the fire department.
There was also not an automatic sprinkler system in the building that fire official believe would have controlled the fire.
The fire alarm system had a history of false alarms that may have have lead building personnel to "become apathetic to the system as a whole."
At 1:10am the morning of the fire, a fire alarm was triggered and a security guard disabled the alarm and did not contact the fire department, delaying a response to the fire by nearly an hour and a half.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt or killed.
BYU Broadcasting thought it was lighting a set for a concert. Nope. It triggered a blaze. (Just like BYU broadcasting think it's spreading a "gospel." Nope. That "gospel" version only leads to a post-this life blaze)
What about internal accountability? Any "fire detectors" -- fire alarms in the building? Nope. Failed an inspection two weeks before the fire -- just like Mormonism fails "truth detectors" that would otherwise warn Mormons to escape eternal hell.
What about linking an alarm system to the fire department? Nope. Likewise, Mormonism has insulated itself from the One Rescuer able & available to rescue it.
How about an automatic sprinkler system? Nope. Mormonism thinks it's flame-proof.
What about when the fire alarm did go off? Didn't matter. A history of what they deemed to be "false alarms" led to a security guard disabling the alarm the night of the fire...delaying a response by 90 minutes.
Likewise, whenever we sound the alarms to Mormons, they typically turn us off.

1844 -- the year of Smith's death: "You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves...going from one small degree to another, and from a small capacity to a great one...from exaltation to exaltation, until you...are able to dwell... (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 346-347)
Hmm..."until you...are able to dwell" where? WHERE were the "ghost-lights" -- the demon-lights of Smith telling him where he & his followers would dwell??? The answer is right there on p. 347 of Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith -- a Mormon-published book: "until you...are able to dwell in everlasting BURNINGS."
Smith added that he was indeed talking about the Spirit world: "The spirits...are blessed in their departure to the world of spirits."
AND:"Enveloped in flaming fire, they are not far from us..."
Whoaaa. Smith prophesying about a place he thought we ALL should go.
By that point in his life, Smith must have felt the guilt gnawing at him from no assurance of forgiveness of sins; but he wouldn't let go of his "everlasting burnings" teaching late in life: "Those who have done wrong ALWAYS have that wrong gnawing them. Immortality dwells in everlasting burnings." (ToPJS, p. 367)
These spirits craving their own "immortality" as false gods wouldn't let go of Smith...
...and actually occasionally told him the truth...
...as they did about "everlasting burnings"... and "enveloped in flaming fire"
...They had the last laugh at Smith's -- and his followers' -- expense.
Make no mistake, Mormons. There's a fiery everlasting pain that accompanies outer darkness. The longevity words in the Book of Mormon used to describe heaven ("everlasting," "eternal") are also used to describe hell in the Book of Mormon. However long heaven; the BoM characters concluded "ditto" about hell.
It may be a slow Sunday afternoon, and all that. But not this slow.
The theological significance of inadequate fire alarms and faulty equipment appears to be minimal.

Well, darn..there goes a perfectly good "mormons persecuted AGAIN by arson fire at historic building" rumor.
It could have read, "Leaders hint that enemies repeat act of hatred similar to those in early history of the church when an extermination order was issued in Missouri, causing saints to flee to the mountain west, (except for the family of Joseph Smith who stayed and prospered.)
Church spokesperson states that "since the capital of the LDS Corporation is tied up in the construction of a four-billion dollar mall on Temple Square, there wasn't enough money left over to bring the wiring in the Provo Tabernacle up to code."
Plans to assess members for "free will" donations to rebuild a smaller, modern replacement at a cost of 3 million dollars will be announced at a later date."
.... So....faulty fire alarms are proof of God’s displeasure with the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS?

Who cares what they believe or do, they're not blowing up buildings or killing people...are they?
Las Vegas Ron, people outside of 'Vegas are a bit more likely to take our cultural cue from a certain "Lord" named Jesus Christ. Who are we to follow when it comes to setting cultural priorities? Jesus and the apostle Paul? or somebody who proudly dons "Las Vegas" as part of their monkier?
Here's Jesus:
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." (Luke 12:4-5)
So does Jesus say, "fear the building destroyers>" (No)
Does Jesus say to fear murderers? (No)
Instead, does He say to exercise fear of the One who has authority to cast somebody into hell? (Yes)
So, indeed, our "fear" is on behalf of those who are placing their eternal spiritual lives at risk.
As the apostle Paul was leaving the church of Ephesus, he warned them with this high-priority alert:
"I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears." (Acts 20:29-31)
Paul's cultural priority? (Defend against the false disciples who will proselytize the flock and draw away men unto themselves!)
Tell me something, Las Vegas Ron: If you did something tearfully night and day for three years, do you think it's rather important? So what? We're just to conclude, "Oh, the man who contributed a good chunk to the New Testament -- what does he know about cultural priorities?"
Besides, unlike some weak sisters 'round here, we actually know how to multi-task.

Only until they converted your daughter or son (& then prevented you, a "Gentile" -- their word, not mine -- from seeing her get married in a Mormon temple 'cause you're a Gentile).
And then you get to be baptized in the Mormon temple whether you wanted to or not. Don't want to present your body or carcass for such an "event?" No matter. Mormons will still baptize you by proxy; and it'd be more certain if your next generation converted.

I’ve known quite a few and they are generally decent people.
You don’t see them viciously attacking others like you’ve done here. You aren’t turning Mormons away and you certainly aren’t winning any of them over to Christ.

My FRiend, your weakness in faith of the Lord Jesus Christ need to be fulfilled by getting on your knees and praying to him to come into your heart.
It does not come from belittling those who do not see the way.
