I do blacksmithing for a hobby. The “wire” could be made in a coal or charcoal forge and formed on an anvil and cut with a chisel. Very basic tools.

I do hobby blacksmithing also. Started off 38 years as a horseshoer, decided I liked shaping iron better.

I got a homemade forge and a load of good Oklahoma coal to stink up the area with. Peter Wright Anvil.
