As long as parents are STUPID enough to send their kids to these types of schools, the schools will do WHATEVER they want. That includes real-life sex demonstrations (Northwestern University), co-end dorm ROOMS (not sure which one...but becoming the trend), and who the heck knows what else.

Hopefully people on this site are a bit wiser and simply let these schools wallow in their crap.

Catholics should not have to put up with crap like this.

Priest pedophiles, Obama at Notre dame. Covering the cCross at Georgetown, this is crap. Perhaps it’s time the Laiety fook over from priests and Bishops who forget their proper role.

Perhaps it’s time we squeezed the purse strings until they begin to relearn their proper roles.

Ex Corde Ecclesiae justifies having that trash play on campus? Really?

Just goes to show that the heterodox will do anything, even twist church teaching, to justify their garbage.

What "types of schools" do you suggest? Bob Jones perhaps?

Northwestern is private but apparently secular.

Gonzaga, the subject of this article, is private and Catholic.

Why pay the additional money to attend a Catholic college if its values are no different from a state university?

So I guess Gonzaga thinks it just fine to present an play, one part of which ‘celebrates’ the statutory rape of a young girl by her female coach. Seems like a Catholic college might be a little more circumspect when it comes to the sexual abuse of a minor by an adult.

I believe that Northwestern teams originally were the "Fighting Methodists." LOL.

The founders were all Methodists but the school was founded to be nonsectarian.

Good point, and from my experience, most parents do so out of sentimental reasons. That's the college THEY attended, so they want their kids to go there, too. Religion, except as some sort of cultural idea, doesn't enter into the decision.

If I was a student there I’d demand the stage version of “Deep Throat” be performed just to see how far the administration would go. They’d probably do it, sadly.

Ex Corde Ecclesiae (‘From the Heart of the Church')

Help! What's the Latin for "From the crotch of Satan"?

Hope this isn’t TMI, but mine has never uttered a word, monologue or otherwise. Seriously, if you want a great Catholic post secondary education go to Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Schools where parents can keep a CLOSE EYE on their kids...preferably commuter schools. Regardless, if parents are paying for any part of the cost, they need to DEMAND access to anything they want from the kid...from Facebook pages to class records to E-Mail accounts.

If a parent isn’t willing to do that, they deserve exactly what kind of a monster their kid turns into.

Although my degrees are from secular schools, Bob Jones, from my experience with its graduates, has very high standards academically. The undergrads there are probably made to work harder than the undergrads at Harvard (which can be quite easy).

Very funny, and you are right. They’d do it if they thought they could get away with it.

Outside of hard science, math and engineering, the “college experience” should be avoided.

they could feature "debbie does Dallas" as a warmer upper, and then award Obama an honorary scholarship, once he's off vacation!!
