Why rapture is in Revelation:
"And she brought forth a man child,
who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:
and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne." (Rev 12:5)
('caught up' = harpazo Greek for the Latin 'rapio')
1) to seize, carry off by force
2) to seize on, claim for one's self eagerly
3) to snatch out or away

(Republicans get in trouble when not living up to their principles. Democrats... when they do.)

ding ding ding! we have a winner. This is THE rapture verse in the Bible. Many confuse this passage about the woman and the man child to be about Mary or Israel and Christ, but it is not.
