I have never claimed to be an apologist.

Maybe you haven't claimed it but you certainly fit the definition: "somebody who defends a doctrine or ideology."

I have read material from those links. You constantly moan that the same stuff is always being raised as an issue. It is because the quality of the responses (as shown by these links) is woefully inadequate. If you put aside your loyalty to all things LDS and put your brain in the "on" position, you would see this, too.

A little heartfelt and humble prayer would be good too.

Years ago, before I became a Christian, I was being actively recruited by a Mormon co-worker. I prayed sincerely and consistently for quite some time for the Lord to guide me in this area. He provided an answer by placing some Christians in my life who got me started in a Bible study where I heard the Gospel of Grace. Shortly after that I became a Christian and really didn't give Mormonism much more thought for several years until I started graduate school when I had several Mormons as fellow students. At that time, I began to re-examine Mormonism and realized how thankful I was to the Lord for protecting me from that "church". I still thank Him for protecting me when I was a babe in the woods and revealing to me the real Jesus Christ, not the figament of Joseph Smith's imagination.

I still pray for my Mormon friends from graduate school. I never encountered so-called "Christians" with less spiritual discernment than Mormons. PD, you reconfirm that to me each time I see you post. Mormons are incapable of understanding the simplest of theological concepts because these concepts are as Paul tells us "spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14) Walter Martin observed well when he stated that "explaining spiritual matters to a Mormon is like trying to describe a rainbow to someone who has been blind since birth."

I am concerned for you, PD, as you come across as someone who has been seriously brain-washed. I will continue to pray for you because the Holy Spirit can overcome even your willful blindness.

um not so much. The inadequacies are on the side of the regurgitated propaganda. But thanks anyhoo.

If you put aside your loyalty to all things LDS and put your brain in the “on” position, you would see this, too.

If you put aside your loyalty to all things anti-LDS, put your brain in the “on” position, and sincerely sought the truth from God with a humble heart you would see the truth too.

I am sorry to hear your story about how you were pulled away from Christ’s Church. That was my story as well for awhile. I even used some of the same regurgitated nonsense propaganda that the anti-Mormon gang here uses.

I am concerned for you, CC, and the rest of the anti-Moromn gang on FR as you all come across as people who have been seriously brain-washed. I will continue to pray for you because the Holy Spirit can overcome even your willful blindness.

This is very true and I mean it sincerely.
