If people have not accepted CHRIST as Saviour and Lord - they are lost! Unbiblical premise. No where in scripture are we told to accept Christ as Saviour and Lord. We are told to repent and believe.

That's not the politically correct thing to say, many believe that " good works " will be good enough to save you.

" And yet the bible commands us to rebuke those caught in sin. "
The only people we can see in the bible that Jesus Christ ever rebuked in anger were the hypocrite self righteous religious Pharisees.
It was the sinners, poor in spirit whom Jesus showed compassion and saved.
Jesus said that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the religious leadership that where the Pharisees and Scribes, then you can't enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.... what Jesus was saying is ? if the religious leadership of the Pharisees or the Scribe could not make it into Heaven ? how can the rest make it by our own works ? merit ? by our own self efforts by keeping the law of GOD ?
What Jesus was saying, is that no one is right in the sight of GOD, no one is righteous, no one can meet or be right in God's eyes unless GOD provides another way, that way is ?
Jesus said " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man can come to the father, but by me "

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Jeremiah 32:40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

" And yet the bible commands us to rebuke those caught in sin. "
The first person to rebuke who is caught in sin should be the one looking in the mirror of themselves.
That includes everyone then... right ? all have sinned and have come short to the Glory of GOD.
Who does not sin ? who has never sinned ?
The only person ever who never sinned was Jesus Christ.
To: BlackFemaleArmyCaptain
" If people have accepted CHRIST as Saviour and Lord but sin is not dormant in their lives - one of two things will happen...."
I guess that leaves the Apostle Paul out then, ( Read Romans chapter 7 )
To: BlackFemaleArmyCaptain
" Either way - these groups of people never had an intimate relationship with JESUS CHRIST and He will say to them...I NEVER KNEW YOU!! "
Those whom he will say " I never knew you " are those who try to sneak over the wall like the thieves and robbers who try to enter in some other way to the Kingdom of GOD.
Those whom Jesus says " I never knew you " are those who say , but Lord ? what about all my " GOOD " works " of Merit " done in your name ? .
They are those who try to enter in some other way other than Jesus Christ and his sacrificial atonement.
He will say to those who never accepted God's New Convenant that was introduced, confirmed, and fulfilled ( on our behalf ) in the vicarious sacrifice of the blood, and in the flesh of Jesus Christ's.
Those whom the father has given unto Jesus Christ to save, none ! none ! will Christ's the Savior lose.
Those Christians who have open sin(s) in their lives ? God will discipline then.
The Legalism folks have convinced people that they gain their salvation, and keep their salvation, that can only be gained or kept by GOD's power only in Jesus Christ.
Salvation by works = ManPower ( vain glory = showing other's how Godly they are on the outside , but, corrupt in the heart still ) and Man's pride.
Salvation by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ = GOD get's all the glory.

So are you saying that your sins affect no one else?Who said ANYTHING about sins? I commented on the title of the thread, chief. Nothing more.

" So are you saying that your sins affect no one else? "
Those who trust in Jesus Christ, their sins have already been dealt with ( our legal and right standing with GOD ) in the person, and body of Jesus Christ.
God has already effectively judged our sins in the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
God will deal with his people's sins while living in this world until Christ comes by disciplining them as his children, but, their legal, and right standing with GOD is safe in Christ.
There is in no way, that a Christian should think that since their sins have already been dealt with that they should live in a sinful lifestyle, or not allowing to chastise them, or using discipline them to have a change of mind about their sins, that's what repentance means.

JOhn 6:26,34
26. Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.
27. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
28. Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
29. Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
30. So they asked him, What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?
31. Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.[c]
32. Jesus said to them, Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.
33. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
34. Sir, they said, always give us this bread.
You forgot to tell the people what the " WILL OF THE FATHER IS ".....
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
What " IS " the will of the father ?
Matthew chapter 7:21,27
Jesus said to his disciples:
Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord,
will enter the kingdom of heaven,
( *** but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. *** )
Many will say to me on that day,
Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?
Did we not drive out demons in your name?
Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?
Then I will declare to them solemnly,
I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.
Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord,
will enter the kingdom of heaven,
( *** but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. *** )
John 6:28,29:
( *** 28. Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
29. Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. *** )
What " IS " the will of the father ? ( they answered him, what must be do to the works ( way, what we must act on ) GOD requires ? )
The will of the father is to work on, to act on, to seek after the one who he sent to save sinners.

The bible tells us in Jude 1:3 ( Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints )
not to contend for works, or merits.
Salvation by works, or merits roads lead to man's glory, and pride, and Salvation by Grace through faith roads lead to God's Glory in Jesus Christ.
To: Salvation
Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Yes, and 2 chapters before that in the same book of Matthew Jesus tells us this.
Matthew 5:20
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
The will of the father is to repent of your own self efforts to save yourselves by your own works, or misguided concept that someone can earn merits with GOD by keeping the law, for the law could not ever justify a man in God's sight.
There must be a atonement, a blood sacrifice to blot out sins.
The will of the father is to trust in, believe on and believe in Jesus Christ, to accept, and receive the love gift from GOD, his New Covenant by Grace through faith that was, initiated, confirmed, ratified, and fulfilled by the blood of Jesus Christ, and his resurrection and fulfilled on our behalf and for our sake.
God is basically saying to mankind to get over yourselves ( true humility is taking your eyes off self, and putting it on GOD ) and your pride and accept Christ, trust in Christ and his gift of Salvation bought by his blood and body.

“Unbiblical premise. No where in scripture are we told to accept Christ as Saviour and Lord. We are told to repent and believe.”
WHAT I SAID WAS AND STILL IS BIBLICAL CORRECT. READ YOUR BIBLE. HOW ELSE WILL YOU COME TO CHRIST UNLESS YOU ARE CONVICTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND COME TO ACCEPT HIM BY FAITH SO THAT “HE” - NOT OURSELVES - WILL BE ABLE TO HELP SOMEONE TURN AWAY FROM SIN (REPENT). SO, I AGAIN..
If people have not accepted CHRIST as Saviour and Lord - they are lost!!!!!

THOSE WHO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ABOVE BIBLICAL STATEMENT - READ GENESIS 1:1 THROUGH REVELATION 22:21! IT’S THE STORY OF ACCEPTING CHRIST AS SAVIOUR AND LORD - GOD COME IN THE FLESH!!!!!!

READ YOUR BIBLE! SOME SERVANTS WILL BE PUNISHED!
THE FAITHFUL SERVANT:
MATT 24:45-47 (KJV)
“Who then is a FAITHFUL AND WISE SERVANT, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? (God called preachers are responsible for feeding the flock of CHRIST). Blessed is THAT SERVANT, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find so doing (obeying). Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.” (in the Kingdom Age).
THE UNFAITHFUL SERVANT:
MATT 24:48-51 (KJV)
“But and if THAT EVIL “SERVANT” shall say in his heart, my Lord delayeth His Coming; And shall begin to smite (strike) His fellowservants (for speaking TRUTH), and to eat and drink with the drunken (this servant has conformed to the world); The Lord of THAT SERVANT shall come in a day when he LOOKETH NOT for Him, and in an hour that he is NOT AWARE OF, And shall cut him asunder (to pieces), and appoint him his portion (assign him a place) with the HYPOCRITES (this people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me - MATT 15:8): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (despair; God’s judgment).”
1 COR 3:11-15 (KJV)
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST. Now if any man build upon this foundation (CHRIST) gold, silver, precious stones (these 3 will stand the test), wood, hay, stubble (these 3 will not stand the test); Every man’s work shall be made manifest (revealed): for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire (God’s Word); and the fire (God’s Word) shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. if any man’s work ABIDE (in CHRIST) which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD. If any man’s work shall be burned (loss of rewards but not Salvation), he shall suffer loss : but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (God’s Word).”

Unbiblical premise. No where in scripture are we told to accept Christ as Saviour and Lord. We are told to repent and believe. It's kind of like the Trinity...If you stand still for a few minutes, it'll slap ya up side the head, a number of times...
First off, we need to know what 'repent' means...Repent means to have a change of heart...Repentance is a heart condition...
Repentance
μετάνοια
metanoia
met-an'-oy-ah
From G3340; (subjectively) compunction (for guilt, including reformation); by implication reversal (of [anothers] decision): - repentance.
Repent
μετανοέω
metanoeō
met-an-o-eh'-o
From G3326 and G3539; to think differently or afterwards, that is, reconsider (morally to feel compunction): - repent.
And of course we are to believe on the Lord...Some people suggest that believing in the Lord and believing on the Lord are two different things...I am confident that believing on God is akin to repentance...Belief is more than a head knowledge...It is 'trust' in God...
And as we know, just believing in God is not the answer...
Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
We can believe God exists just by looking at nature...But the scripture shows us that a person seeks out God...
Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
This guy had a desire to find out how God could be his Saviour...
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Call upon
ἐπικαλέομαι
epikaleomai
ep-ee-kal-eh'-om-ahee
Middle voice from G1909 and G2564; to entitle; by implication to invoke (for aid, worship, testimony, decision, etc.): - appeal (unto), call (on, upon), surname.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
It is more than clear just by these few verses that we call on and accept Jesus to be our personal Savior...
