James said faith without good works is a dead faith.

No one disagrees with that fact.

Good works are the evidence of our salvation, not a requirement for it.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast." -- Ephesians 2:8-9

How much clearer do the words have to get? The correct and Scriptural understanding does not deny either Paul or James. The Roman Catholic understanding clearly denies Paul.

True, your first sentence. Untrue on your second. Catholics accept faith and works...sorry but it is Protestants that deny Scripture and say faith only.

It is done here every day. Catholic belief accepts all of Scripture, not just certain verses. Faith and Works is Scriptural.
