There is no way to find unity between those two beliefs. They are diametrically opposed to one another. Period. One is finished work and the other is continuing work.

I think we have to give them a slight pat on the back for at least believing that Christ is the ultimate source of salvation (although they do their best to contradict that observation.) That fact is just about the only reason I hold out any hope at all for any of them.
But as you say, they so obscure the simple truth of God's grace as to make it almost incomprehensible.
That's why we tell them to go back and read their Bibles. If God so ordains, He will give them the Holy Spirit who will illuminate their study and bring them to the truth of the finished work of Christ risen.
