Listen, I realize that this may come as a shock to you, but combining liberal and fundamentalist church denominations like that is going to skew your results and invalidate any conclusion you draw from them.
A better example would be to review those denominations which hold a fundamentalist view of Scripture. It’s no great secret that a group of churches who have turned their back on the idea of the inerrancy of Scripture would have fallen away from those same Scriptures. The same could be said for those Priests who are abusing young boys, we both know that kind of behavior is abhorant and absolutely unacceptable, so why is it no surprise when these same priests compromise on other critical doctrines of Scripture?
And while I would agree that the Scripture you quoted does indeed call for a Unity of Spirit, I also remind you that not every denomination is equally mature. Just as believers have different maturity levels, so do different Churches have different maturity levels. The reason I point that out is because most of the differences in doctrine which are not directly related to a departure from Scriptural inerrancy are related to either a misunderstanding of Scripture or a misapplication of Scripture. That unity which you’re looking for is something that comes with maturity, not by Papist decree.
Furthermore, I mentioned “sins” of Protestant doctrine because to you Roman Catholics, anything that isn’t handed down from your Latin Overlords is, by definition, an error and therefore sin. I’ve already pointed out that I don’t consider it unusual for a church that has abandoned the Scriptures to have equally abandoned following those same Scriptures, so really, what’s your gripe here? I mean, other than the fact that we Protestants have the nerve to say that we answer to God and God alone and not some Roman in a funny looking hat. We all know that, so what is really your point here? That those who have abandoned the faith and went after unChristian doctrines have, *gasp*, abandoned the faith? Color me shocked!
Now, you're just making things up. I don't think there's much else to discuss.
