Dear fellow FReeper - No one said gathering for worship “doesn’t count”. If you can make church attendance during the week, besides just on weekends... more power to you and that is a blessing few of us have due to long work hours to keep afloat... However, that is the point of the Sabbath is to give you a time out from work to dedicate wholly to God first and foremost and family.

It is Jesus that saves, not keeping the Sabbath. However, there is something that is missed in worship when you ignore the day God himself appointed at Creation and reiterated at Sinai and that ultimately God’s people will keep in the New Heaven’s and the New Earth, according to Isaiah 66:22-23

Good job.
You give me credit and accolades for what I said then tell me it is not as valuable as “worshiping on the Sabbath”. I am telling you that when ever you gather with believers to worship standing in the presence of God Almighty whether it is Saturday, Thursday or St Swithen’s Day that worship is and can be dedicated wholly to God. God does not care what day it is, that was the law Jesus freed us from the law and gave us Grace.
Jesus called out legalism, He really did not like it and He made that clear.
