I don't understand why these two places are still classified as Catholic institutions, really. Georgetown agreed to cover Christian symbols to please Barry Soetoro which to my mind amounts to a denial of their Catholic association. I don't know if Notre Dame did the same sort of thing, but even having Barry come there and tell lies shows that Notre Dame is borderline, at best. Neither one seems to want to be a Catholic institution any longer so why doesn't the Church admit reality and end the connection or, for that matter, why don't the schools themselves end the connection?

JMHO

The Catholic Church in America has made itself a dependent of the federal government, that’s why. The Catholic hospitals need federal funds to stay open now, and so do the Catholic schools, from universities down to the elementary level. I absolutely was speechless when our local Catholic elementary school, having been given a “blue ribbon” by the Dept of Ed (which meant money to the diocese), had the FEDERAL SEAL printed up on the bumper sticker with the school name!!!! Shame shame shame. The Church ought to turn back the federal monies, because now it’s learning, finally, there are strings attached~~~
