The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.(Isaiah 24:9-11)
We are currently witnessing an astonishing unraveling of the post World War Arab world. Tunisia, Egypt,Libya, Yemen, Jordan, Syria and even Saudi Arabia are all experiencing orchestrated days of rage , brutal street demonstrations against their governments.
By post World War, I refer to World Wars I and II, and the aftermath thereof, imposed upon the Arabs by the victorious allies.
The Arab world, at the time subject to the Turkish Ottoman empire had been on the wrong side of both World Wars. Consequently it came under British and French rule, who redrew the political map, constructing with a stroke of the pen, the nations of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Algeria, etc.
Many of these Arab nations eventually sought and gained independence during the great post world war 2 European withdrawal from Colonialism. There would be constant shake ups in leadership, as the old Ottoman order gave way to a series of more secularised leaders. Even before World War 2 ,the Arab world had become enamored with western secular political models such as Fascism,Socialism, pan Arabian nationalism, and even communism .
Egypts King Farouk was replaced in a coup by Gamal Nasser, the British had placed the Hashemite family in charge of the artificially constructed Kingdom of Jordan. The corrupt Saud Family was given the guardianship of Mecca and Medina and the Arabian peninsula for helping the British defeat the Turks in World War 1 (remember Lawrence of Arabia?). Syria and Iraq would come under the rule of the secular, socialist Baathist party.
Also, seemingly out of the ashes of the World War, another state emerged, or we should say re-emerged in the Middle East, Israel.
The post World War Arab middle east would not accept a revived Jewish State in the heart of the middle east , and in four separate wars spent the treasure and blood of the Arab world in combined military attempts to obliterate it. In spite of overwhelming odds in men and armaments they lost spectacularly to Israel every single time.
It was after the 1973-1974 Yom Kippur war, that the long-held conviction began to become widespread in the Arab world, that only by an Islamic revival, a return to fundamentalist Islam could Israel ever be annihilated. This concept is the fuel that ignites our current crisis.
Saudi Arabia has spent its billions in oil revenue to propagate its own nefarious brand of Islam, Wahhabism, a puritanical ,violent, holier than thou but with hand grenades version of the religion which through its madrassas is literally inciting hatred and murder among the poverty-stricken masses in Africa, Indonesia, Pakistan and throughout the world.
The typical post Muslim political leader of the Arab middle east, was secular, semi socialist, selfishly greedy, brutal to any dissent. They are either military or very much a puppet of Military, and willing to distract the misery of his subjects by blaming Israel or the United States through a steady stream of propagandistic conspiracy theories.
The post World War 2 leadership that emerged in the various Arab nations, though Moslem, did not institute Shariah, they ruled according to a brutal real politic, crushing any dissent within and particularly any virulent strains of Islamism that should arise to challenge their leadership.
Through brutality they suppressed the aspirations of groups like the Muslim brotherhood, because they knew better than anyone who they were dealing with. Egypt jailed and tortured hundreds if not thousands of those who were inspired by Hassan Al Banna, Sayyid Qutb to wage a Jihad, violently , politically or otherwise, in order to restore the Caliphate, and to bring the world under Shariah.
These brutal leaders served as restraints on something even more savage than themselves, that would be true Islam, the Islam of Mohammed, the Islam which has waged a 1000 years war against the christian west. Yes, they were brutal, utilitarian and self-serving, they did what they had to keep their restive populations distracted and subdued.
Some of the Arab states lined up with the USSR and others with the USA in the recent cold war, but they all have one passionate thing in common, they utterly hate the existence of Israel, and those they perceive to be propping it up!
What we are seeing in the Arab world right now, is the removal of those restraints, the release of the long pent-up pressure, the opening of the floodgates again that the One Thousand year war against Judeo Christian civilisation be resumed.
Dont be deceived by the narrative of the facebook revolution, that peace-loving cell phone and face book using Egyptians longing for democracy have just toppled a dictator in a virtually bloodless revolution, and now all is well. Indeed a thirty something Egyptian facebook exec was initially a leader of this movement, but he was shoved aside and forcibly not allowed to speak to the masses teeming Tahriri square the day after Mubarek left Egypt.
Instead the dais was given to the formerly exiled but wildly celebrated Egyptian preacher Yusuf Al Qadrawi, who called upon the Egyptians to not be content until prayer was offered to Allah on the Temple mount in Jerusalem.
The real revolution was revealed in the brutalization of the western Journalists, particularly the woman brutalized by a mob, chanting Jew,Jew,Jew as they performed unspeakable indignities to her on a public street. These are people who have been fed a steady diet of anti western, anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, and whose main complaint with Mubarak, was that he suppressed fundamentalist Islam, and honored a peace treaty with Israel.
The True and Living God , the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is uncorking the corks, He is releasing the forces that will culminate in Jerusalem for the last battle before the millenium, stay tuned this gets intense!
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.(Joel 3:1-2)

So what else is new? Arab culture is Arab culture, they are not going to change. We are still dealing with clans and tribes and a way of life that is acceptable to them via “TRADITION”. They are not going to change their beliefs anymore than Christians or Jews would. Jesus to them is not the son of God, he is just a dead prophet as is Abraham and Moses. They are happy being what they are, just like we are happy being what we are. Maybe someday all the major religions will take the best parts of each and put them into one that is acceptable to all. I don’t think it will ever happen in our life time.
I see it more as a “raveling” of the arab world. They have been split up via the WWI and WWII boundaries into artificial nation states. The fundamental sickness in arabic Islam has been kept at bay by those divisions. The basic division coming is between Shia and Sunni and oil controllers vs oil poor, not between nations. Islamist extremism will end up holding sway over billions of people, not just mentally, but through their official organs of state. That’s the raveling part.
Why The Arab World Unravels...
Short answer: Internet and cell phones.
The barely-literate, huddled, dependent, Muslim masses find out how Western people really live, and then discuss their own lives in comparison.
Two things.
1. It is looking more and more like Ezekiel 39 is just around the corner.
2. It is looking like it is possible that the “false religion” of the end times will be Islam. This means that, at least for a short time, they will win.
