How sweet it must be to spiral into one's navel, and sit around rejoicing in how pointless your life is. But that's all right, that's OK -- I just feel so good about precious little me! And obviously, nothing else really matters more than how I feel about me.
Yet, Jesus had a few choice words concerning vines that refused to bear fruit. Pointless, barren, lives are not God-empowered, God-honoring, and God-directed lives, no matter how good they feel from the inside.
Better check your crotch, to make sure the boys are still there.
