You didn’t learn anything while in the Church, therein lies the problem.

I have no problem anymore - I have Christ. Thanks for showing your lack of knowledge though.

When Coptic Christians are being killed for believing in Christ I find it sad that there is such a 'marketing,' for which faith today. It is fine. When one Christian is killed or in fear because of their faith, we are all under threat of the same. I pray today and have been for some time for the Christians in Egypt. My energy is toward prayers for them and for ALL Christians world wide.

God bless, inspire, and guide us all. May we unite in the spreading of His Word not matter what our chosen church.

Conversion from Christianity to Christianity, amazing. Like making a vanilla cake into a... vanilla cake.

the spreading of His Word

HIS WORD, not man-made teachings, that nullify His Word.

Mark 7:13 "Thus you nullify the Word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that".

The pride of believing that one can earn their salvation by their obedience to the law and the church

I had no idea that "private judgment" now included the option of rewriting Scripture.

Presumably this is the trendy "emergent" stuff I've been hearing about.

As I recall, RNMO7, you were once a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Are you now a member of the OPC?

The two groups have radically different theologies, which is why I ask.

ROFL.......

From Wiki.........The Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) is a small conservative Presbyterian denomination located primarily in the United States. It was founded by conservative members of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America (PCUSA) who strongly objected to the pervasive Modernist theology during the 1930s......

Stats (for 2009):
Congregations :255
Members: 29,421 (ministers: 485 communicants: 21,123 non-communicants: 7,813)

What does a Catholic need to do to join the OPC?

Um....1) move to the USA; 2) buy an excellent set of road maps or a GPS system; 3) show up.

Yeah. I had a stint where as a Catholic I joined the Presbyterians. I left when the gay and lesbian minister and assistant started changing the Word of the Bible at Church services to fit into their PC gender world view. Then the preaching about global warming and let's just say it didn't take me long to go back to the Catholic faith and the Catholic Church. Thank you Jesus!

One should always be cautious not to talk about things they do not understand.

Presbyterians is a form of church government not a doctrine.

The Presbyterian church you describe is the PCUSA ..they are arminian/universalist and have long ago walked away from the Christian faith..

In the OPC or PCA or other CONSERVATIVE presbyterian churches the gospel is proclaims..there are no women clergy . no gay marriage or approval of Homosexuality. no sermons on global warming.. etc.. so please do not paint all Presbyterian churches with that brush..

I will only say this.. if one expects to be saved based on their church doctrine or tradition or political position.. there is a huge surprise coming on judgement day

You are always a Catholic, and I think you know that.

That comes from the RCC and it's CONTROL over people. No one has control over those submitted to The Lord. God's Word says..."I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; NO ONE can snatch them out of MY Hand." Mark 10:28. I already repented of being part of an organization with heresy teachings. Praise God for HIS WORD!

We wilcome you back at any time. Please sit down with a priest and get your questions answered.

I go forward into HIS arms! I sit down with my HIGH PRIEST, the HEAD of His Church, JESUS! Every answer is in HIS WORD. I have fellowship with my heavenly Father. I accept no counterfeit substitutes. It's ALL about JESUS, The Word. And that's how I intend to live my life - walking in TRUTH. I am truly blessed and walk in His blessings everyday. Thank YOU, JESUS!
