Why do you call your own daughter “weak”? Typical motherly love.

Honesty. In many regards, my daughter is strong but, as a member of a particular generation, I consider them weak by comparison to my own generation (baby boomers).

IMHO, they have been weakened by exposure to television and dependence on cell phones, ipods, etc. They "expect" to get paid for a college degree rather than "compete" for a job. I love my daughter with all my heart and have tried to place challenges before her but other family members negated those challenges by delivering the goods. Without challenge, there can be no personal drive. If everything is handed to you on a platter, it has no meaning or value. Just my opinion.
