Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Story of Joseph
Genesis, Chapter 45

Joseph Revealed to His Brothers

1. Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, “Make everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. 2. And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it.
3. Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. 4. And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. 5. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. 6. For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7. And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9. “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry. 10. You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. 11. There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.”’
12. “And behold, your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks to you. 13. So you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.”
14. Then he fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck. 15. Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him.
16. Now the report of it was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, “Joseph’s brothers have come.” So it pleased Pharaoh and his servants well. 17. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and depart; go to the land of Canaan. 18. Bring your father and your households and come to me; I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land. 19. Now you are commanded—do this: Take carts out of the land of Egypt for your little ones and your wives; bring your father and come. 20. Also do not be concerned about your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”
21. Then the sons of Israel did so; and Joseph gave them carts, according to the command of Pharaoh, and he gave them provisions for the journey. 22. He gave to all of them, to each man, changes of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of garments. 23. And he sent to his father these things: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and food for his father for the journey. 24. So he sent his brothers away, and they departed; and he said to them, “See that you do not become troubled along the way.” 25. Then they went up out of Egypt, and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father. 26. And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.” And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them. 27. But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived. 28. Then Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

Your Ways are so above our ways,
And Your Plan is perfect,
Even when when don't understand it fully at the time.

As To the Type of people You Want Us To Be.

That gives us insight into Your Plan!

And Thank You for the Jewish People who have been Your Instrument for Preserving Your Word Through History.

LORD, We ask that You fill the leaders of the USA with Your Spirit,
that they may make Holy and Righteous decisions.

And Please do not allow them to be sucked into the morass of temptation that is Washington DC.
And please expose and correct those who every crisis to further their own political agenda.
Bring the Truth To Light, Abba Father,
And expose all the Liars!

For the Sake of Your Anointed,
and For The Sake of Your Name,

That we may discern Your Plan,
Even in bizarre events that leave us puzzled ,

The battle is still raging and the most powerful weapon will be used until ordered to cease.

Psalm 94

God the Avenger of the Righteous

1 O Lord, you God of vengeance,
you God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth;
give to the proud what they deserve!
3 O Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?

4 They pour out their arrogant words;
all the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O Lord,
and afflict your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the stranger,
they murder the orphan,
7 and they say, ‘The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob does not perceive.’

8 Understand, O dullest of the people;
fools, when will you be wise?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear?
He who formed the eye, does he not see?
10 He who disciplines the nations,
he who teaches knowledge to humankind,
does he not chastise?
11 The Lord knows our thoughts,*
that they are but an empty breath.

12 Happy are those whom you discipline, O Lord,
and whom you teach out of your law,
13 giving them respite from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
15 for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, ‘My foot is slipping’,
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you,
those who contrive mischief by statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He will repay them for their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will wipe them out.

Heavenly Father may you continue to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation, may you smash every crooked deed as they try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to the nations as you did this time in history:

http://jn1838.blogspot.com/2010/02/battle-of-lepanto-battle-that-saved.html

May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. This day we shatter the clay jar of Jeremiah 19 in their faces. May you embolden and empower those of our leaders who know the truth and want to do something about it. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors and also enemies of Israel by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice.

And this we humbly ask in Jesus name.

Psalm 37

Exhortation to Patience and Trust
Of David.

1 Do not fret because of the wicked;
do not be envious of wrongdoers,
2 for they will soon fade like the grass,
and wither like the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday.

7 Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices.

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath.
Do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For the wicked shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

10 Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look diligently for their place, they will not be there.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land,
and delight in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plot against the righteous,
and gnash their teeth at them;
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that their day is coming.

14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to kill those who walk uprightly;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.

16 Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will abide for ever;
19 they are not put to shame in evil times,
in the days of famine they have abundance.

20 But the wicked perish,
and the enemies of the Lord are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrow, and do not pay back,
but the righteous are generous and keep giving;
22 for those blessed by the Lord shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.

23 Our steps* are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our* way;
24 though we stumble,* we* shall not fall headlong,
for the Lord holds us* by the hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are ever giving liberally and lending,
and their children become a blessing.

27 Depart from evil, and do good;
so you shall abide for ever.
28 For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.

The righteous shall be kept safe for ever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,
and live in it for ever.

30 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
and their tongues speak justice.
31 The law of their God is in their hearts;
their steps do not slip.

32 The wicked watch for the righteous,
and seek to kill them.
33 The Lord will not abandon them to their power,
or let them be condemned when they are brought to trial.

34 Wait for the Lord, and keep to his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on the destruction of the wicked.

35 I have seen the wicked oppressing,
and towering like a cedar of Lebanon.*
36 Again I* passed by, and they were no more;
though I sought them, they could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless, and behold the upright,
for there is posterity for the peaceable.
38 But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed;
the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
he is their refuge in the time of trouble.
40 The Lord helps them and rescues them;
he rescues them from the wicked, and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
