(Christianity).....”We don’t hide embarrassing doctrine until we get converts so involved they have difficulty backing out”......

....which is exactly the case with Mormonism and occults. They create an environment of artificial love and acceptance which is ‘not real’....rather all members are mindful of the various requirements they are to uphold and what it must ‘look like’ in order to gain the respectability of their membership and leadership. It is a self-serving fasade with the focus on works and ritualistic hoops one must go thru to achieve the next level of acceptance and “enlightenment”....and along the way Jesus’ name is attached merely as an afterthought in order to legitimize those endeavors.

There is a guy named Shawn McCraney who wrote a book called “Born again Mormon” where he tells that even though he was an active Mormon he eventually became an atheist but still did what he was expected and was accepted just fine.

After he got saved, and started talking about Jesus and grace, he was shunned and told he wasn’t a ‘good Mormon’ anymore. Eventually he left.

It is an interesting read.
