This is the same McConkie who harped often upon the notion that Jesus did the same thing to become exalted that his father before did, and taught that jesus's father gained the attributes of godhood by being an atonement for the sins of another race on another world. This purposed duplicity allows the apologists to cite whichever side of the coin fits the intended deception.
