Could you read the quotes from LDS writings in post #298 and let the forum know if you agree with them or if they are false?

Many of us have been searching for answers to this qurey here for years.

It would be helpful to have a nice clear difinitive statement from a member of the LDS belief system to settle this matter.

This is the same McConkie who harped often upon the notion that Jesus did the same thing to become exalted that his father before did, and taught that jesus's father gained the attributes of godhood by being an atonement for the sins of another race on another world. This purposed duplicity allows the apologists to cite whichever side of the coin fits the intended deception.
