This is petty and annoying. I come to FR to get breaking news. I don’t care if you think this is giving some poster his “just desserts” by putting his thread in the breaking new section to be ridiculed. Just be the website you are intended to be.
What’s “annoying”? The fact that Joe Smith is a farkin Schlub; a fake-profit; a dude that got his own brother killed while he was shot by escaping from jail?

I totally agree with you, Stand 4.
I’d like to see NO religion at all on Free Republic, except for hard news items that a newspaper would print on its “Current Events” page, such as (for example) new archaeological discoveries or a change in a church’s policies or stand on some issue.
Free Republic does not need a “Religion Page” and certainly doesn’t benefit from anti-whoever posts that amount to nothing more than digital graffiti.
FR should stick to conservatism, politics, and the kind of news that might affect all of us, regardless of whether we are sectarian, agnostic, or atheist.
I wish Jim would just ban all sectarian posts, whether they are proselytizing or anti-proselytizing or refuting or defending or pro-whatever or anti-whatever.
Let’s stick to the reason we are here: trying to save America (and the world) from the onslaught of liberal “progressivism” eating away at our values like a cancer.
