The Bible makes an interesting proclamation, which we would all do well to contemplate. You will eventually read--if you read enough of the New Testament--where it is instructed that to believe 'He' came in the flesh, was crucified and buried, and on the thrid day arose as He said He would, and be batised in the name of The Ftaher, and of The Son, and of The Holy Ghost/Spirit, you will be saved that day.

Yes, that's a bit paraphrased (if you need the exact passages, I'll provide them), but it points to an interesting FACT. To be born again one must believe that God came int he flesh, in the person of Jesus Christ. Mormonism teaches that the Mormonism jesus was not god with us until his resurrection, thus his exaltation to godhood was gained, not a fundamental aspect of His person. Mormonism teaches that their jesus was sired by the union of 'a'god who had been appointed to be god over earth by a council of gods, once this promoted god had attained the attributes of godhood.

No matter how much spin members try to put on the issues, Mormonism is not Christianity, and certainly not restored christianity as they assert, restored through the peepstone sexual predator of married women, Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was no Apostle of Jesus Christ, as any good study of the lievs of the Apostles following the resurrection will expose.

Basically, Christians believe God took up flesha nd dwelt among us. This belief is shared by all Christians, whether they claim to be Catholics or some sect of the Protestant movement. It is not shared by Muslims. It is not shared by Zoroastrians. It is not shared by Buddhists. It is not shared by Hindus. It is not shared by Mormonism. It is however THE central tenent of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior since a mere man cannot accomplish what Jesus IS doing daily in the lives of those who trust/faithe in Him as their Savior.

I'm about to post to some Mormonism thread an expose on the Mormon/LDS 'melchisedek priesthood', because this aspect of Mormonism is a clear blasphemy to the person and Position of Jesus The Christ, our Great High Priest forever. Mormons believe any Tom, Dick, or Harry Reid can earn the office of mechisedec high priest. That kind of blasphemy should be opposed openly by true Christians, if they are no longer milk fed.

I don’t disagree with the essence of what you say. In the post to which you responded I was commenting on the oddity of people being surprised that Mormons consider old Joe an Apostle of Jesus Christ.

Well, of course they do!

In fact, I suspect they believe he outranks the original Twelve. But I could be wrong on that.

Mormonism teaches that the Mormonism jesus was not god with us until his resurrection, thus his exaltation to godhood was gained, not a fundamental aspect of His person.

***

That’s not true Jesus was always God.

Isa 43 Jehovah was the only God formed

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Why are you spreading this distortion to the point of falsehood?

Jesus receives his glory that the Father gave His only begotten Son.

Acts 7:
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

John 11:

4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby

Acts 7:
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Rom. 15:
17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

Rom. 16:
27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

2 Cor. 4:
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

I am sure like all the rest you have something to say like you got the meaning wrong or ignore this.
