I do understand that JS teachings are relatively new in the tradition of modern religion. Had he existed 1500 or 2000 years ago they could have been widely accepted but he entered late in the game so to speak. As an outsider I am not saying he is right or wrong, just a different flavor that some see as appealing and others as appalling.
