Yeah, you gonna buy that they got him so drunk he passed out dead drunk and could still get in on and him not kinow it? Yeah, OK. But, he was drunk, not his fault. Now you understand why it is impossible for me to take scripture at face value. Now, if you want to believe that can happen, well, be my guest, not for me to tell you that you are wrong in your beliefs.

Why dont you go dust it off and open it...

Heres a good verse...

The LORD Jesus said to Resty, “Unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God” John 3:3

Then the LORD Jesus Christ said to Resty “Do not marvel and be shocked, Resty, that I told you, You must be born again” John 3:7

I wish Jim would just ban all sectarian posts, whether they are proselytizing or anti-proselytizing or refuting or defending or pro-whatever or anti-whatever.

Of course, apparently Clique can't even bring herself/himself to "ban" her/his own mouth on religious topics on FREERepublic...(let alone get the host to completely clamp down on others...Or is this more of the mindset, banning for thee for not for me we too oft' see displayed 'round here?)

We see that your religiously motivated post that religious liberties on FR be surrendered made it thru A-OK...is that because the "Sect of Clique" warrants special religious liberty expression status?

We are merely rope suppliers. YOU make the choice how to use it.

You give yourself too much credit.

Exactly, depending on what side of the street you may be on, you can prove or disprove anything with scripture. That’s why for me, standing from afar and observing all this banter, it all becomes quite humerous.

If people can hijack a caucus thread to impose their religious beliefs, that threatens the integrity of Free Republic as a meeting place where *all* conservative members can join to share ideas in a secure atmosphere.

(Clique said, hijacking this thread about Joseph Smith to impose her religious beliefs that some religious beliefs are "obviously" -- well "obviously" to Clique, that is -- more "corrupt" and more "infectious" than others...& therefore this all contributes to her/his religious notion that "Jim...[sh]ould just ban all sectarian posts, whether they are proselytizing or anti-proselytizing or refuting or defending or pro-whatever or anti-whatever" -- post #321.)

Now why exactly does Clique believe some beliefs are more "corrupt" and "infectious" than others? Well, who knows? She (He?) transcends such "gutterwork" of having to explain her (his) accusations and critiques. (..."I won't be drawn into this religious dispute")

So, she (he) disputes by issuing religious edicts about supposed "corrupt" and contaminated "infectious" comments from up high.

......."having as an Apostle such as Joseph Smith which Bucolically is impossible and is an attempt by the LDS to co-opt the Son of God as their own while keeping behind the curtain all the official writings that show that their "Jesus" is quite different. If they would just come out in the open and acknowledge their writings are antithesis to mainstream Christianity they could have their own swell religion and leave ours alone."

Great points and on target.....Any religion who has secret oaths and hidden agendas should always be a warnering to any who are seeking a church, or for that matter an organization to associate with. Mormons not only hide what they do, but the leadership hides what they do from their membership.

.......”LDS recognize that I AM is definitely one of God’s names in the same respect that I am and you are and he is - which is NOT in the Judeo/Christian meaning of YHwH (He IS)... that there was no one, no time and no thing before Him (Alpha) and that there will be no one, no time and no thing after Him (Omega.)”.......”

Beautiful and with clarity and distinction AG.

proving the reflection of *Christ* in you, Define How you would see the reflection of Christ in others, given each individual does not loose their personality traits by becoming a Christian.

I ask this because it is the church as a body of believers who reflects Christ to an unsaved world. Each with His own calling, gifts and abilities. Weaker or stronger, some more than others.

Tara, you don’t seem to understand counter cult ministries.

Exactly right or the statements and questions she has made would not be as we have seen here. IMO

You need to read Matthew 23....and see how Christ spoke to the “teachers” who opposed Him. Also... how John the Baptist spoke to the “teachers” when he began his ministy. There are many other examples of confrontations in the scriptures as much by the Apostles as well. For what ever reason you’re not understanding that false teachers are no different today then they were then.....

Do be careful you are not working against Gods means and ways He is dealing with those he intends to rescue...for he knows who those are, equally as important who those are who are keeping the stronghold on them.

You cannot walk onto a battlefied with a basket of flowers when their are ‘skilled surgeons’ at work to save the life’s of those wounded and dying.

You can be certain these threads are no laughing matter in the eyes of God. You are viewing with the eyes of the world....and making that quite obvious. The question is then, if you do not believe the scriptures why are you here, as it is quite obvious these folks do.
