Um, I'm sorry, I agree there are many passages that speak of our involvement in the life of the church, our duties to preach, make disciples, etc., but the only person in Scripture ever actually credited with *building* the Church is Jesus Himself: I will build my church. Peter doesn't build it. You and I don't build it. Only Jesus actually builds it. And that's my point.

That statement is directly refuted by Scripture.
Jesus is the cornerstone and foundation but others are also called to build. Eph 2:20 1 Cor 3:10-15
