Maybe because the Roman Catholic Church spent all those years surpressing the Bible’s availability to the regular folks? I do believe so.

As for man-made traditions, please compare the “Magesterium” to
anything Protestant; there’s no comparison - the RCC wins hands down!!!

Which is why they put together the Vulgate in Latin to increase the accessibility of the Scriptures?

That makes no sense to me. If they were interested in suppressing access, why would they publish the longest running edition ever? Why would they use the most common language in use at the time if their purpose was to suppress scripture?
