“There is nothing that says she did sin.”

Gosh, that wasn’t so hard to admit.

“I’ve covered your question; now answer mine!”

Scripture in any case, does state that the Angel that came to Mary and said, “all generations henceforth will call you blessed”. Something that it doesn’t say about anyone else.

***Something that it doesn’t say about anyone else.***

Actually, many people are called “blessed”.

Oops. Typo on my part. Let me correct that.

“Where does scripture explicitly say that Mary sinned?”

Did you not read the post 65? Did you not read “all” and “no distinction”?

There is nothing that says she WAS SINLESS; the scripture quoted (that apparently you didn’t read) covers Mary... as in “all” and “no distinction.”

Show me where Scripture says she DID NOT sin. I’ve covered your question; now answer mine!

There. Contextually, it didn’t make sense.

Many — in fact, try doing a search for “blessed” — are blessed. God blessed Adam and Eve (to start) —

That says NOTHING about an immaculate conception, sinlessness, nothing.

Really. S-T-R-E-T-C-H is an understatement.

Actually, most of us are called "blessed" by Jesus in the Beattitudes. How many really live a life without crossing one of those paths?

I am also curious (as a non-Catholic) why you equate the description of "blessed" as "sinless". This seems to be the foundation of the Catholic's view of Mary.
