The Methodist Church's "social justice" arm is a marxist bludgeon to be sure. Yet and still, I don't know that this is a good way to enlist the support of the undecided. Sounds more like a personal grudge writ large. Bad idea.

True enough. 5 years ago the church I went to as a child had become a full on temple of liberalism but my more recent visits have been far more positive. A new more conservative pastor has sought to bring the older congregation back to the church and he says worshipping trees won't do it.
