I've never posted before and understand if this is not posted or is inappropriate..please delete.
I have not been able to find an answer to the meaning of a dream I had as follows.
American. Crow. He wrote a book called Seven Arrows.
Have you read Casteneda on this topic?
Not to any great extent. My days of being fascinated by such things are past. I'm Christian now. I'm open to the possibility of there being communication in dreams, scripture tells us as much, but that is not my first impulse and even if I suspected it to actually be the case, I'd be very cautious. Ego drives many people into thinking they've had a prophetic dream or visitation, imho, and it's just not at all often the case.
As far as Castaneda, I'm not about to embrace that thing in my dreams, if that's what you're suggesting. It's not good. I don't know much about it, but I do have a strong sense of that much.
One of these days, I'll take my own advice given upthread, have the courage to step outside myself long enough to do it, and put two and two together. I haven't been able to thus far, and I suspect I'll continue having it periodically until I do.
Where I come from reading is not incompatible with Christianity.
Your husband is freaked about you having a dream about your stepfather? He freaks easily.
Where I come from, reading books authored by a man claiming to be a shaman and authoritatively publishing ways to incorporate such beliefs into ones waking and dreaming life is not compatible with Christianity, therefore it’s a potentially hazardous thng to internalize.

No he is freaked that my stepfather wants to take me to heaven. My husband loved him as well and helped care for him in his long illness.
Thank you.
I feel sorry for the intellectual limitations you impose on yourself. I think we’ve come to the end of any kind of useful dialogue.
And I, in turn, feel pity for you, having closed your mind to the truth merely due to the fashion of the day, or perhaps as once was my case, ancestry, combined with the fashion of the day. I do know a bit about the topic at hand, and have chosen not to pursue it. Had you actually understood, you’d respect that choice.
You initiated this dialogue, and it’s certainly your prerogative to end it.
So, good day to you.
De nada
Thanks, Doc.
