Of course. But prophetic does not mean “literalistic.” You imagine it is still far in the future because you apply an unjustified “literalistic” hermeneutical system to the passage.

Metaphoric? It’s not clear you know what you are talking about wrt my hermeneutical system.

It’s also apparent that the “literalistic’ system doesn’t solve your problem because “literalists” have been reinterpreting the Bible for decades. Every time a new end-times player arrives on the scene, the Bible gets reinvented.

There more to the Bible than Isaiah 17. I don’t accept your approach since it is not taught in the Bible.
