Our parish priest said exactly what you said. You can be gay and Catholic; however, you aren’t suppose to act on the desire. No different than wanting to steal and not doing so. It is considered temptation leading to sin if followed. Just a thought.

I don’t see a lot of difference between Catholics being gay and Catholics practicing Burth Control.

I dont have a problem with gay catholics, unti they try to convince other Catholics that they are normal and the Church should recognize their Marriages.

There are many catholics who practice Birth Control, Go out at night with their girlfriend and commit adultary, even live together and still practice their religion. But they arent trying to tell the Church that their sin is ok.

Thats my problem with Homosexuals. They want their sin given the ok by the Church. The Church does not recognise homosexual marriage, nor does it recognise a marriage by two people who have been divorced. The two who have been divorced are not trying to make the Church do their will and allow them to go against the teachings of the Church.
They are not trying to make the Church recognise their marriage. Many leave the Church, but others still attend mass.
