"She has been so elevated to the status of goddess"
How many times must you be told; Catholics do not worship Mary.

How many times must you be told; Catholics do not worship Mary. Could you please explain in practice how worship differs from veneration??

Catholics do not worship Mary.
The world knows otherwise, why don't you?
The disrespect shown for GOD's Word as you nullify HIS WORD and for JESUS Who is The Word and for the HOLY SPIRIT, HE inspired The Word means what to you?
"Thus you nullify the Word of God by your tradition that you have handed down.." Mark 7:13
"'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'"

How many times must you be told; Catholics do not worship Mary. Then why do they give her titles which belong to God alone and credit her with attributes of God alone?
Why do they make statues of her, light candles to her, pray to her to ask her to do things for them that only God can do.
They sure relate her as they relate to God.
And besides, time devoted to Mary is time NOT devoted to God. It's robbing God.
