that we are to look to God for LIFE, and the truth, and that any man is only a representative or agent of God—including our biological fathers, or the apostles, or anyone who teaches us?

Look to God in HIS Word which is Holy Spirit inspired and; thus HIS WORD is spiritually discerned. So any representative of Christ would have to be Holy Spirit filled.

Also, a representative of Christ would not teach tradition. His representative would not nullify the One he represents.

"Thus you nullify the Word of God by your tradition that you have handed down.." Mark 7:13

Catholic tradition is CHRISTIAN tradition.
