One more interesting bit of trivia. There is no year zero BC / AD. Dating goes directly from 1 BC to 1 AD. Roman numerals didn’t include the zero, you see!

If you wish to find the truth, look it up yourself. Hint: Anno Domini (which is a shortened form of Anno Domini Nostri Iesu Christi ("In the Year of Our Lord Jesus Christ") came from an earlier era. Don’t confuse origination with popularization.
