NIV Bible error - Lucifer AND Jesus are ONE in the NIV. See Isaiah 14:12.
That’s right, thanks to Jesus Christ, I’ve not had a drink in 30 years. Also active in helping addicts off of drugs and alcohol. Unlike many, we “do not profess a form of godliness and deny His power.” If you refer to the truth as bigotry — I suggest you’re the one with the problem.
Suggestion noted. Tested. Based on the objective falsity of your claim, suggested rejected. Try Truth instead of bigotry. Your judgmental nature is far from Christian in appearance, as one small example.
To quote another accurate observer:
Christ would have to deny Himself to do such a thing. He could never proclaim that which is cleary contrary to written Scripture to be truth. To the contrary, this would be something the Anti-christ would do. He's will be a master at distorting the truth. Just like the teachings of Catholicism -- twisted and wrestling of the Scriptures.
Even Peter warned that those who wrest the Scriptures by not understanding the Apostle Paul as these do twist and wrest all the Scriptures.
For example: the Catholic Apocrypha NT books are NOT from Christ the Word of God, but the Catholics us it to twist:
prayers for the dead - Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45
purgatory - Wisdom 3:1-7
intercession of saints in heaven - 2 Maccabees 15L14
intercession of angels - Tobit 12:12-15
book of Revelation chapter 12 "woman closed"...is NOT Mary; it is Israel bring forth Messiah.
So would you be helping Jesus Christ off alcohol? Or have the baptists redacted his celebratory use of alcohol out of the Holy Scriptures?
All God’s creation is good.
Isa. 14:12 is directed to the king of Babylon, no proper name of “Lucifer” is there and “morning star” is just one way to translate the term.
Is this the best you can do?
Darby version ( 12. How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou art cut down to the ground, that didst prostrate the nations! ) .... so far, the rest of the versions say day star, or son of the morning, or son of the dawn.
LOL... that mindless regurgitation reads very cultish.
I’ll hold on to the Bible instead of church tradition. I understand when standing before God, His Word will be my Judge. I find great comfort and peace in that. I speak with Christ everyday and He speaks with me. He has given me peace, joy, eternal life, and the Holy Ghost. He has met my every need and His Spirit bears witness with my Spirit each moment of each day. Like Paul, “I know in Whom I have believed.” What I have is much more than some dead religon — I have “life and life more abundant.” I have victory and am “an overcomer in Christ.” I understand what John means when he says, “greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world.” Religion is of the world, invented by Satan who “comes as an angel of light.” Only Truth can set a man free, “for whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” I have experienced and maintained that freedom for thirty years! I’ll hold on to what I have until the end thank you. You can have your religion!
RE: I understand
No you don’t.
Sorry, you're not reading in context as to what God is talking about, you only see what other scholars talk about.
Da ya go displaying your ignorance over the biblical use of the word “wine.” Justify your drunkeness via Jesus and the wedding! No, Jesus never drank strong drink and He didn’t create 150 gallons of rotten juice to throw a drunken party. Jesus Christ never created anything tainted, and fermented juice is tainted. What He created was good and pure — not purtrid and corrupt! It’s down right blasphemous to suggest such a thing.
Yes I do, and I also understand what Jesus meant when He warned about “casting your pearls before swine.” Obviously what’s happening here.
This whole section in Isaiah 14 is a taunt at the King of Babylon.(also King of Assyria)Words can mean different things in different contexts.
This is one of those prophesies that is of differing theological beliefs and yours is not one of them.
Those kings of nations he has already conquered are taunting him as he has arrived in hell.
(Is it the king of Babylon or Satan?)
I believe they are taunting the king as Satan and taunting his own belief that he was a bright morning star.
Wow. I went to that website, lots of kool-aid drinking going on over there. I’m so glad that Catholics do not think of Baptists what Baptists think of Catholics. Praise God he brought me from the Baptist church to the Catholic church!!
LOL...thanks for clarifying. They did redact Holy Scripture or at least completely bastardize the understanding of it.
The lunacy and mindlessness of sola scriptura types never ceases to amaze me.
Actually, he’s referring to the actual Hebrew context of Isaiah, not the muddled translations used in the Christian bibles which bear little relation to the actual Tanakh...this passage is about the King of Babylon, not a mythical “fallen angel” ...magritte
I wouldn't say it that way, but Christ Jesus NEVER used the following books: Tobit, 2 Maccabees, Wisdom, in order to teach these false doctrines:
prayers for the dead - Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45
purgatory - Wisdom 3:1-7
intercession of saints in heaven - 2 Maccabees 15L14
intercession of angels - Tobit 12:12-15
That is a blessing.
RE: Christ Jesus NEVER used the following books...
Historically and geographically wrong.
Read the history in how God himself protected the ( Textus Receptus ) ... many tried to wipe out the Textus Receptus, but, today, it still remains.
